Beloit special meeting
The village of Beloit will hold a special meeting Monday at 6:45 p.m. to interview for a vacant council seat and to pass a resolution to appoint a representative to the 9-1-1 review committee. Action will be taken. The grant committee will meet afterwards, followed by the safety committee. An incorrect committee was listed in Friday's edition.
Nothing Bundt Cakes
Nothing Bundt Cakes will be at Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Friday, Feb. 9, selling Bundt cake bundtlets. Bundtlets will be on sale for $6 each while supplies last, with 20% of the proceeds going to the SRMC Foundation to support patient care. A variety of flavors will be offered. Cash, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay will be accepted. Pre-order forms are available in the Look Nook Gift Shop through Feb. 7. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby on the ground floor at SRMC. For information call 330-337-2883.
Drive Up Soup Sale
EP Eagles #1506 is having a Drive Up Soup Sale from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 10. Soup must be pre-ordered by Feb. 9 at 330-853-8483. Cost is $7 per quart. Flavors include chicken noodle, vegetable beef, wedding, potato, cowboy stew, ham and bean, chili, stuffed pepper, broccoli cheese and buffalo chicken chili.
Lisbon Banquet
Lisbon Church of Latter Day Saints will host the Lisbon Banquet at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church Feb. 12. The menu will include ham, potatoes, green beans, dessert and assorted beverages. Dine in only from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Carry out available after 6 p.m.
