LISBON - Chloe Gill is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center's November Student of the Month. Chloe is a senior from Columbiana High School and is enrolled in the Interactive Multimedia (IMM) Program under the instruction of William Oesch.
Chloe is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC as well as the National Technical Honor Society. At Columbiana, she is a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish club, the pep band, and was selected as a member of the Stambaugh Youth Honors Band.
Chloe has also spent the last four years volunteering at Angels for Animals. In addition, she has volunteered as scorekeeper for local robotics competitions over the past two years.
Chloe has earned certifications in OSHA-10, Adobe Certified Professional Visual Communications Using Adobe Photoshop, ACP Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator, and ACP Print & Digital Media Publication Using Adobe InDesign.
Chloe plans to attend either Kent State University or Bowling Green State University to double major in computer science and animation game design. She has set a personal goal to finish the year with a 4.0 GPA while earning two or three more industry credentials and creating a diverse portfolio with work done both in and outside of class.
Chloe stated "Attending the CCCTC taught me about the creative industry and gave me the advantage of having a vast skillset and experience working with actual clients. I also developed my leadership and communication skills and got the opportunity to meet peers outside of my home school environment." Chloe was nominated by Oesch who stated "Chloe is determined to achieve her career aspirations. She takes on responsibilities in her work and continuously strives to improve her skills. Chloe actively seeks out leadership opportunities, within the IMM lab, through SkillsUSA, and in dedicating her time to volunteering. Last year, she was part of a three person team that beat out over hundreds of teams from four countries in a film competition earning them the prestigious title of number one in the world.
Chloe is pursuing her career goals by taking college courses and plans to pursue a dual major after graduation. Her commitment and exceptional performance make her an exemplary Student of the Month as she consistently puts forth her best effort every day."
Chloe is the daughter of Jeff and Kathy Gill.
