Mahoning County Public Health and the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board introduce OD dashboard

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning County Public Health and the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board is introducing their new Opioid Epidemic Outreach Dashboard (https://opioid-epidemic-outreach-mc-boh.hub.arcgis.com), a one-stop shop for all things related to the opioid epidemic in Mahoning County.
The dashboard includes overdose fatality data from 2007-present, broken down by age, gender, race, overdoses by month, and primary substance type. This data can be viewed by year or in total. The dashboard also includes data on Emergency Department visits for overdoses, Quick Response Team data, infectious disease rates for Hepatitis C and HIV, and Naloxone saves and distribution.
In addition to including data on overdoses in Mahoning County, the dashboard also provides Mahoning County resources and education for prevention, treatment and recovery, and harm reduction.
The dashboard is designed to assist local organizations with up-to-date data to inform prevention efforts as well as to help those who have substance use disorder or know someone who has a substance use disorder find assistance in one place.
