Community Easter Egg Hunt
The Salem Nazarene Center, 1431 N. Ellsworth Ave., will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the egg hunt starts at 1 p.m. Little Loves Learning Center will have a concession stand and selling hand made Easter candy during the hunt.
Pancake breakfast and book fair
The Little Loves Learning Center, 1431 N. Ellsworth Ave., Salem, will host a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon April 6. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 3 to 9 and free for children under age 3. There will also be an Usborne Book Fair and a raffle of items donated by local businesses.
Middleton Twp. spring clean up
Middleton Township will hold a spring clean up day for township residents from 9 a.m. to noon April 6 a the material storage lot located at the east end of Negley. Items that will be accepted include furniture, mattresses, washers, dryers, stoves and scrap metal. Items not being accepted include any appliance which contains freon, paint, used motor oil, batteries, TVs, electronics of any kind or any hazardous material. For those interested, there will be a roadside cleanup program for township roads from 9 a.m. to noon. Scrap tires without rims cost $1 each, with a 10 tire limit.
Banquet in Salem on Monday
Darin Odey will sponsor the Dine In or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include fried chicken, diced potatoes with onions and peppers, corn, coleslaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, and peaches. Dine in will park in the designated area and proceed to the front door. Drive thru will lineup in the lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. No parking in the library lot.
