LISBON - The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Health Academy program announced the certification of its latest cohort of Patient Care Technicians through National Healthcareer Association.
Patient Care Technicians play a crucial role in healthcare delivery, providing direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and other medical professionals. By completing rigorous training and obtaining certification, the Patient Care Technicians demonstrate proficiency in vital tasks such as monitoring patient vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining specimens for testing and providing compassionate support to patients and their families.
"Earning national certification is a great stepping stone. Whether a student decides to enter the workforce after graduation or pursue a college degree, this certification gives them a competitive advantage over other candidates. I am so proud of their accomplishments and am excited to see the impact they will make in the future," said Pam Dawson, RN, Health Academy Instructor.
