The Columbiana Meals on Wheels will be hosting a drive thru spaghetti dinner Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) at Firestone Park, Columbiana, Pavilion #4 (Duck Pond). The meal costs $10 which includes, spaghetti and meatballs, salad, homemade bread and cookie. For advance ordering call 330-482-0366.
Fundraiser for the
family of Cindy Muniz
The Homeworth Community Group is hosting a fundraiser for the family of the late Cindy Muniz from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Almost Home Event Center, 230 S. 12th St., Sebring. The evening will feature a gun raffle, along with raffle baskets, Chinese auction, silent auction, 50/50 and door prizes. Muniz contracted a rare infection (Fournier Gangrene) and Cleveland Clinic worked to contain the damage it was causing with all her internal organs, but unfortunately she passed away before the event. The fundraiser is to offset hospital bills and to remember and honor a sister, wife and friend in the community. Fundraiser tickets are $20 and the buffet meal is chicken stuffing casserole, sausage with peppers and onions, sides, dessert and soft drink.
OSU Extension offers New Applicator Training
The Ohio State University Extension is offering a New Applicator Training from 6 to 8 p.m. April 15 at the Mahoning County Extension, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield, covering study tips, category-specific guidance, and test strategies for $25. Attendees are encouraged to select their area of interest from the following categories: Grain and Cereal Crops, Crops and Livestock, Fruit and Vegetable Crops, Nursery and Forest Crops, Greenhouse Crops and Fumigation. This class is geared for those looking to become a certified pesticide applicator. For registration, call the Mahoning County Extension Office at 330-533-5538.
