Community members facing the challenges of a cancer journey can gain encouragement and understanding of this disease during a free support group hosted by University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC). The group's next monthly meeting will be held from 3 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 19, in SRMC's Oncology Conference Room, located on the hospitals second floor, past the Cancer & Infusion Center on the left-hand side. SRMC's Cancer Support Group is open to anyone in the community in cancer treatment and cancer survivors. Sessions offer education and emotional support for people with any type of cancer. Attendees are asked to check in at the Oncology Department front desk before entering the meeting. There is no cost to participate, but pre-registration for the meetings is required.
