ALLIANCE - The Rodman Public Library will offer a variety of programs in the next two months.
- Young patrons, ages 10-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 to make some swag for their bags. Using their imaginations as well as supplies and tools at RPL, tweens and teens will create items such as keychains and buttons that they can adorn on backpacks and gym bags. The program is free, thanks to support from Friends of Rodman Public Library. No registration is required. For information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 217.
- Hot Pots Storytime will have a frog theme in April. Two sessions will be held, including Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. and another on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. Children, ages 3-12, are invited to come to the Branch for a mini storytime and then proceed to Hot Pots, accompanied by their guardian, to paint a froggy figurine. The cost is $15.99 per child and registration is required. The fee for the event is payable to Hot Pots upon registration at hotpotspottery.com. - Rodman Public Library's monthly Kids Crafting program continues at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 11 when children, ages 7-12, are invited to come to the Main Library to create a mixed media flower. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is required at rodmanlibrary.com. - The popular all-ages tabletop gaming program returns to the Rodman Main Library at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24. Each month, a new game will be featured so that patrons can learn a new game. Of course, other games available in the library's collection will also be available and visitors are always welcome to bring their own games. The aim of the family program is to give area residents an opportunity to gather with others to play their favorite card and board games and make new friends. Light snacks will be offered and no registration is required to attend the monthly program. Although the program is open to players of all ages, children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. - All youngsters are invited to attend Camp Rodman Branch this spring. Each Tuesday through May 28 at 10:30 a.m., the Rodman Branch Library's Spring Storytime will feature a theme related to camping with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo serving as mascots. During each of those weeks, kids will begin by searching for a picnic basket that will contain something that relates to the topic of the week inside of it. Of course, the storytime will also include lots of books, songs, and a fun activity. Registration is not required to attend storytime. For more information, call 330-821-1313.
- Maker Monday crafters will decorate a spring door hanger when they meet May 20 at 6 p.m. in Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium. Maker Monday is an in-person craft program for adults that is held monthly on select Mondays. All materials are provided free of charge, thanks to Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required for each session.
