Lepper Library Writers' Group

The Lepper Library Writers' Group will meet at 2 p.m. June 1. Fellow writers get together and discuss writing, publishing, and grammar. Those who would like the group to critique their writing should submit five pages a week before the meeting to dolly@lepperlibrary.org. Brought in part by the Ohio Arts Council.

Veterans Benefit Information

David Price will present a Veterans Benefit Information Program at Lepper Library May 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. This drop-in session is to inform veterans of benefits available to them. Stop by and learn what is available as a veteran or just to ask a question.

Arts & Craft Fair in Salem

Beaver Creek Sportsman's Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Salem, will hold an Arts & Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 11, including a 50/50 drawing and raffles. Vendor spaces are available for $30, with set up from 8 to 10 a.m. To secure a table or for information email beavercreek1947@gmail.com.

Banquet in Salem on Monday

Darin Odey will sponsor the dine in or drive thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone May 6 at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include fried chicken, diced potatoes with onion and peppers, corn, cole slaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, and pudding. Dine in will park in the designated area behind the building and proceed to the front door. Drive thru will line up in the lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle and no parking in the library lot. Sensory tools at Lepper Library

Lepper Library now has a kit of sensory adaptive tools for children that can be checked out and used in the building by parents and caregivers. The kit was made possible by a donation in the memory of Leann Heckathorn, a Lepper Library Board of Trustee member and former special needs educator. The tools in the kit include: a wedge and wobble cushions for sitting; noise canceling headphones; sunglasses; weighted lap throw; relaxing, bubbler timer; and fidget, texture noodles. To use this kit check it out at the Circulation Desk at the library.
