SALEM -- The Rotary Club of Salem received a Rotary Citation Award for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
According to rotary.org, the Rotary Citation Award can be earned for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary and its clubs. These goals include increasing membership, developing sustainable service projects, giving to The Rotary Foundation, and building awareness of Rotary in a community.
Working to achieve these goals helps clubs engage their members, increase their impact, stay relevant in their communities, and run more efficiently.
A welcoming and engaging club not only fosters a positive experience for its members, but also reflects the values of Rotary.
When clubs achieve these goals, they contribute to the overall health and culture of Rotary for generations to come.
Out of the 25 goals to be met, the Rotary Club of Salem met at least 13 during the 2023 - 2024 fiscal year which ended June 30, 2024.
Furthermore, the Rotary Club of Salem was the only club to receive this recognition in its district, which is district 6650.
