Knights of Columbus Council 1818 of St. Paul Church Salem recently served breakfast to support The Brightside Project in Salem with back-to-school supplies. A free will donation and a school supply item was donated by over 100 attending the meal along with a Chinese auction on several items and services donated by local businesses. This is the second year the Knights of Columbus served a meal to help Brightside in this worthy cause that helps students of the area. The Chinese auction, donations for the meal and some special donations from area organizations and individuals, made it possible for a donation of $ 1,000 to Brightside.
