Columbiana County Buckeye Dairy Boosters accepted applications for 2025-2026 princess

LISBON – The Columbiana County Buckeye Dairy Boosters will soon be choosing the 2025-2026 Columbiana County Dairy Princesses for the 47th year. Any interested young women must meet the following criteria:

– Contestants must have a dairy farm background. This means a parent or guardian must derive part of their income from dairy farming, she must work on a dairy farm, or she must have a dairy 4-H project.

– Contestants must be 14 years of age and not over 25 as of June 1, 2025.

– Contestants must be residents of Columbiana County.

– Contestants must not be, nor have ever been married.

– Contestants under the age of 18 years of age must present a signed statement of consent from her parent or guardian to enter the contest.

– A $500 scholarship will be available to the person crowned as Columbiana County Dairy Princess, providing she requests the scholarship and can provide proof of enrollment to a two- or four-year institution of higher learning. A princess may not receive both this scholarship and the general scholarship from this organization during the same school calendar year. However, if she qualifies, may apply to receive the general scholarship during a different school year.

– Contestant winner must agree to be able to attend promotions through the year, such as the Twilight tour, one shift at the Dairy Boosters ice cream barn and awarding of dairy ribbons at the fair, Drive-It-Yourself Tour/tillage day and the following year Dairy Boosters luncheon to crown next princess. Also participate in at least two of the following events: any local parade such as Salem, Columbiana, or Leetonia fire, a dairy promotion at a local store, or some form of a promotion during June National Dairy month and/or July National Ice Cream Month.

– Contestants must be available to attend the Dairy Boosters luncheon Sunday, April 27 at the Ezio’s (182 S. Broadway Ave.) in Salem from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The Dairy Princess is chosen at this time.

– During the year there will be a Dairy Booster’s contact to assist the dairy princess with anything she might need.
