In “Africa Screams,” when the bookish and mild-mannered Stanley Livingston (Lou Costello) agrees to go along with a daft scheme thought up by his friend Buzz Johnson (Bud Abbott), the bumbling duo gets roped into an expedition to the jungles of Africa. With Stanley posing as a seasoned hunter, they accompany explorer Diana Emerson (Hillary Brooke) on a quest for a hidden diamond mine. However, numerous natives and wild animals come between the treasure-seeking party and their destination.
In “Jack and the Beanstalk,” Jack (Lou Costello) and his agent, Mr. Dinkel (Bud Abbott), are struggling to find work through an employment agency. They land a gig baby-sitting a troublesome boy named Donald (David Stollery). Trying to get the child to sleep, Jack reads him the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk which subsequently lulls Jack asleep, transporting him into the fantasy world of the storybook. There, he encounters magic beans, a giant and a princess in distress, among other things.
The village’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will be in effect and patrons may purchase beverages in official DORA cups from the Normandy Inn, Stoney Inn, Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant, and Sandy Springs Brewing Company and carry them throughout the designated area, including into the Roxy. Concessions may also be purchased at the theatre.
