Salem Eagles Fire Drill Fridays
The Salem Eagles will be holding Fire Drill Fridays starting in May. The game starts at 4 p.m. Fridays in May. Each person who would like to play can buy a wristband for $5. Then all drinks will be $1 until someone sets off an alarm and drinks go back to regular price. The $1 drinks will begin again after each alarm on even hours from 4 p.m. to close. Alarms are placed randomly. Players only need to register once for the entire evening.
Methodist Marvelous Meatloaf
The First Methodist Women of Salem will be making their marvelous meatloaf and ham loaf Friday, April 25. The one pound loaves are $8. Orders maybe placed by calling 330-337-9531 by Monday, April 21. Leave name and phone number when making order. You will be called when your baked order is ready for pickup.
NLPC Passion Week
The New Lisbon Presbyterian Church (NLPC), 111 E. Chestnut St., Lisbon, will host several services during Passion Week, led by Rev. Dr. Frank Lewis. All are open to the public.
Palm Sunday worship, April 13, beginning at a 10:30 a.m., will include the confirmation of four youth members into the congregation: Aidan Bowyer, Holly McCoy, Arlo Kee and Parker Ramsey.
A Maundy Thursday service will be held in the church social room, adjacent to the sanctuary, starting at 7 p.m. The service includes scripture and dramatizations of the Last Supper and the disciples’ final hours with Jesus in the Upper Room.
The Easter Sunday service, which includes Communion, begins at 10:30 a.m., April 20.

‘Bunny Hop Around’ in Lisbon
Lisbon businesses are joining forces for the “Bunny Hop Around Lisbon” on Saturday. The Easter/treasure hunt event is billed as a “fun-filled day of games, crafts and a photobooth.” Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. at the village where participants “grab a map and head off on the journey.” The event gets underway at 11 a.m. at 5 S. Park Ave. Games and crafts by the Methodist Church will be set up at the gazebo with fun kid activities all day. Each business will have a special surprise for every child. Participating businesses include: Almost Perfect Foundation, Dashing Divas Boutique, Nourish Coffee and Kitchen, Cantina 70, Mayfield Bail Bonds, Peculiar Corner, Geronimo Supply and Source Gallery.
PN informational session
An adult education practical nursing informational session is planned on April 22 at 10 a.m. at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Adult Education at 9364 state Route 45 in Lisbon. The CCCTC invites those interested in the program to attend the sessions where the CCCTC will cover important details about both full-time and part-time PN programs. Attending an information session is the first step in the enrollment process. Reservations are required by calling Marsha Henrich at 330-424-9562.
Business seminar on tap
The Village of Lisbon continues its partnership with the Rural Community Assistance Program and the Small Business Development Center at Youngstown State University with a free business seminar on Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Days Inn in Lisbon located at 40952 state Route 154 in Lisbon. The seminar will focus on finance and how to make a good business plan. A light lunch will be provided. Registration is required but admission is free.
