Presentation on Medicare

A Mismarketing Advantage Plans and Fraud presentation to better help residents understand Medicare is set for Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. at Lisbon’s Lepper Library. The presentation will be put on by the Ohio Department of Insurance Senior Medicare Patrol and help explain coverage options, how to review plans, marking tactics and common scams.

Back-to-School Drive Through

The Columbiana County’s CAA’s Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Centers’ annual Back-to-School Drive Through event is planned for Aug. 7 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This year’s event will be held in East Liverpool at the First Church of the Nazarene located on Walnut Street. The CAA will be handing out cinch sacks with school supplies in the church’s parking lot. The CAA Mobile Unit will also be on site and the CAA’s Head Start, Mobility Management/CARTS and Community Services programs also will be handing out school supplies

ODNR Stream Life Day

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will hold the 2025 Little Beaver Creek Stream Life Day Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beaver Creek State Park. The ONDR event offers an afternoon of hands-on learning that includes archery, electro fishing and creek seining. The event is free and fun for all ages.
