EP Eagles drive thru dinner

US Route 30 road work

Starting Monday, Aug. 25, U.S. Route 30 will close one mile east of Minerva from Stump Road to Minerva Boulevard during daytime hours for a culvert replacement project. The road will close from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and the completion date is Aug. 29, 2025. Traffic will be detoured state Route 183 north to state Route 172 east, state Route 172 east to state Route 9 south, back to U.S. Route 30, and reverse.

Mahoning County health coaches

Mahoning County Public Health is offering the Health Coaches for Hypertension Control program in Sebring. Classes will will meet once per week for eight weeks starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Sebring Library, 195 W. Ohio Ave. Pre-registration is required. The aim of this program is to improve hypertension self-management through small group educational sessions for adults aged 55 and older, covering topics such as the basics of hypertension control, nutrition, physical activity, tobacco cessation, stress management, and medication management.

Health Coaches for Hypertension is an evidence-based program that will: increase knowledge about hypertension self-management; increase the stage of readiness to make lifestyle changes required for successful self-management; promote behavior changes in nutrition, physical activity, stress and medication management, and tobacco cessation.
