Ballet Western Reserve to perform free performance

BALLET WESTERN RESERVE

COLUMBIANA – Ballet Western Reserve, the region’s premiere dance academy, will present a free performance Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Idabelle Firestone Gathering Place and Garden at Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park in Columbiana.

Fifteen members of the Ballet Western Reserve will perform, in part, scenes from Aaron Copeland’s “Right of Spring,” and Tchaikovsky’s beloved “Nutcracker” on the patio of the Gathering Place, a unique venue in which to perform and in the beauty of the late summer, early autumn brilliance of the flowers, shrubs and bushes of the park in glorious bloom.

Free admission and parking at the main entrance to the park and covered seating and shuttle service will be provided to the outdoor hilltop amphitheater for the concert. The rain venue is the auditorium of Columbiana High School and a move will be announced in the event of inclement weather.

The Firestone Park Cultural and Custodial Committee, a 501s3 organization, is the sponsor of the free fall concerts in the park.

For information, call 239-249-1753 or visit Facebook at Firestone Park Cultural and Custodial Committee.

Starting at $2.99/week.
