Flying HIGH marking 30 years with breakfast event Thursday

CANFIELD — Flying HIGH Inc will celebrate 30 years of community service with a breakfast event Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield. The event will celebrate the opportunities that have been created for people to make their lives better over the past 30 years, and show gratitude to those of you who have co-labored with Flying HIGH to make these opportunities available in our community by providing funding and support.

Flying HIGH Inc. operates the Professional Development Center (PDC) technical school, that offers accelerated vocational training programs in Chemical Dependency Counseling, Certified Nursing Assistant, Carpentry, Basic & Advanced Welding, Fabrication & Fitting, Culinary Fundamentals, Peer Support, and CDL. The PDC, recognized by the Ohio Board of Career Colleges & Schools, has also offered vocational training since 2011.

Flying HIGH Inc. also operates Job Placement Welcome Centers in downtown Mahoning County at 6 W. Federal St., in Trumbull County at 237 Main Ave. SW, and in Columbiana County at 2388 Southeast Blvd. where valley residents can walk in and have access to immediate job opportunities. The Welcome Centers are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
