West Branch Lady Ruritans
The West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan Club met Sept. 15.
Bev Yaggi introduced a couple of employees from Salem Visiting Nurses. They serve Columbana and parts of Mahoning counties. They help patients with treatments that are needed done that they can’t get done at the hospital. They check how strong the patient is getting, then may start some exercise. The Red Cross started visiting in 1919 and the Salem hospital in 1950. They showed things that can make it easier when weak.
President Robin Mayer called the meeting to order, starting with the reciting of the pledge of allegiance and singing God Bless America. The club also recited the Ruritan pledge. Viola Blanchard read a devotion.
Sandy Bates read the minutes and Jean Zion read the treasurer’s report.
The club’s past bake sales went well. Five ladies met with Zone 6.
