SALEM – The Columbiana Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers’ Honorary met at Ricky’s English Pub and Grill in Salem for its October meeting. Chaplain Nancy Dicken provided the invocation.

Barb Lipp, president, opened the business meeting. The minutes and treasurer’s report were approved.  

Vice President Pam Todd and Lipp attended the DKG State Executive Board meeting in Dublin, Ohio.  They shared the Gold Key awarded the chapter for meeting all criteria for the previous year.

For its philanthropy project, the membership donated a variety of needed items and gift cards to the Columbiana County Humane Society.

The group’s next meeting will be in the Salchow Room at the Columbiana Public Library on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Members are asked to bring unused Christmas cards to be mailed to local nursing homes. The guest speaker will be Tiffany Noling, reading specialist at Crestview Elementary.
