Weber to present ‘Only Murders in Alliance: Heinous Homicides’

Just in time for Halloween, Jack Weber will deliver the latest installment of his popular “Only Murders in Alliance” series twice on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Unlike the past three “Only Murders in Alliance” presentations in which Rodman Public Library’s community relations manager unraveled complicated plots with lots of twists and turns, “Only Murders in Alliance: Heinous Homicides” will include several shorter and more concise tales ripped from the headlines of The Alliance Review dating back as far as 1893 in a grisly tale that was reported in newspapers and magazines across the country. That particular murder even made headlines a couple years later upon a morbid find along a country road.

A few more of the heinous homicides include stories of jealousy, a love triangle, and senseless violence during the commissions of other crimes – stories that Weber collected over the past 30 years while doing research when he was working as a local journalist or as a member of the board of the Alliance Historical Society, which is sponsoring the program in partnership with the Alliance Area Preservation Society and the Castle Crusaders as well as Rodman Public Library.

Registration is required to attend either program at rodmanlibrary.com.

Starting at $2.99/week.
