SALEM — According to a press release, a group of 80 reenactors will use the farm at 13620 Seacrist Road, Salem, Saturday for a private event representing the 1944 time period in Europe.

The reenactors will be in period military uniforms and vehicles. The event will be held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Blank firing weapons will be used and smoke.

All participants will be inspected for weapons and ammo and advised on safety and fire regulations. According to organizer John H. Barnett, the event is private to the public but open to WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars veterans.

According to Barnett, local law enforcement agencies have been advised. The public is being made aware to avoid concerns.
