WELLSVILLE – The Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers’ Honorary held its December meeting, the final one of the year, at the Some Place Else Restaurant in Wellsville.

The inspirational reading and invocation were provided by Nancy Dicken. President Barb Lipp led the business meeting. Sharon Walker’s treasurer’s report and Amy Johnson’s minutes were approved.

Members brought and signed Christmas cards for shut-ins and local nursing homes.

Sandy Forbes shared a historical news clipping depicting her parents’ lives in the 1940s.

The program was provided by Colin Mercer, a freshman at Crestview High School. Colin, a grandson of member Pam Todd, played classical, Christmas and fiddle selections on his violin.

The next meeting will be held at the East Palestine Library with a speaker from Insight Clinical Counseling.
