Guilford Lake drawn down for dam improvements

The water level at Guilford Lake has been drawn down for the dam capital improvement project and is included in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources overall drawdown of state park lakes during the winter months. According to the ODNR, the drawdowns are managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers each year for maintenance, repairs, or flood control. The Guilford Lake draw down began on Nov. 15 and will end on Dec. 15 of this year. The water was drawn down 21 feet, a change of 15 feet compared to last year, the ODNR website states.
