4th Thursday Banquet in Salem

Friends of the Banquet will sponsor the 4th Thursday Dine In or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Thursday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include sloppy joe’s, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, peaches. Dine in will park behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individual in the vehicle. No parking in the library lot. EP Eagles sirloin tips dinner

Beloit council meetings

The Village of Beloit will hold a special meeting at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 26 in council chambers to conduct interviews for persons who have submitted letters of interest for the open council seat. Action may or may not be taken. The Beloit Fire Dependency Board will meet on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at Village Hall. The Beloit Village Street Committee will meet on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
