SCT ‘Frozen’ meet and greet

The Salem Community Theater is inviting families to a magical winter cast meet and greet from 9:30-noon on Saturday, Feb. 21. at the Salem High School cafeteria.

“Frozen” fans can enjoy a sing-along, story time, cupcakes, face painting, photo opportunities, and a guided paint session led by Jen’s Paint Cellar. Tickets are $10 for the meet-and-greet experience or $25 for the ultimate painting package. The last day to purchase tickets is Feb. 18.Adults do not need to purchase tickets. Banquet in Salem

The Dine in or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building will be sponsored anonymously. The menu will include ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Dine in will park in designated area behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. No parking in the library lot. OSU Ext. AgriSeries session 2

Ohio State University Extension Mahoning County will host Session 2 of the 2026 AgriSeries, focused on Farm Succession Planning, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program will take place at the OSU Extension Mahoning County office, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield. Farm succession planning is a critical yet often challenging topic for farm families. This session will be led by David Marrison, OSU Professor and Farm Management Specialist, who will guide participants through proactive strategies to support successful transitions from one generation to the next. During the program, Marrison will share practical tools and resources designed to help farm families start and navigate meaningful succession conversations; plan for the transfer of ownership, management, and assets; and reduce uncertainty and conflict during generational transitions. The program is designed for farm owners, family members, and agricultural professionals who want to ensure long-term sustainability and continuity of family farms. Audubon Society program

The Audubon Society/Mahoning Valley will host Joe Malmisur, an award-winning naturalist from Summit Metroparks, who will present “Ghost from the North,” a program about a diurnal and nomadic species, the Snowy Owl, Feb. 24 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation at 7 p.m.
