Banquet in Salem Monday
The Dine in or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building will be sponsored by Bob and Linda Sebo. The menu will include Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Dine in will park in designated area behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. SPARK Storytellers
The SPARK Storytellers will take the stage at the historic Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way in Lisbon on March 1 at 2 p.m. Join nine local Storytellers as they reflect on a time when “luck” played an important role in their lives. Admission to the SPARK (Storytelling to Promote Acceptance, Respect and Kindness) is $10 and payable at the door.
SR 164 road closure
Starting March 3, state Route 164 will close for 40 days just south of state Route 39 in the village of Salineville for a culvert replacement project. The detour is state Route 524 north to state Route 39 east, state Route 39 east to state Route 164, and reverse. The overall project completion date is July 31; however, the closure must be completed by May 22.
MCCTC Adult Career Center open house
MCCTC Adult Career Center on Palmyra Road in Canfield invites the public to attend the MCCTC, Adult Career Center Enrollment Open House on Feb. 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Campus tours will take place anytime throughout the event. Prospective students can meet with student services and find out more about potential funding sources to help pay for education. The school will be open and the public is invited to explore career training programs that begin Fall 2026 including: Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing, Welding, Automotive Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Office Specialist, Veterinary Assistant, EMT or Firefighter I and II and Paramedic. Columbiana Legion fish frys
The American Legion Post 290, Columbiana, will hold a weekly fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays through April 3. Eat in or drive through, beer battered fish, two sides (choice of fries, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese) and dessert for $15 cash only.
