4th Thursday Banquet in Salem
Friends of the Banquet will sponsor the 4th Thursday Dine In or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Thursday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include Johnny marzetti, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, peaches. Dine in will park behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individual in the vehicle. No parking in the library lot. Mona McArtor Scholarship
Application forms for the annual Mona McArtor Scholarship from the Quota Club of Salem are available in the guidance offices at the following local high schools: Salem, Beaver Local, Lisbon, Louisville, Sebring and West Branch. This scholarship was established in 1978 as an ongoing memorial to Miss McArtor, a deceased member and past president of the club. The scholarship is valued at $1,000. The scholarship is awarded each year to a student going into an undergraduate or graduate level program and pursuing a career in speech/language pathology and/or audiology or deaf education. Applications may also be requested by calling Ann Smith at 330-831-1019. The completed scholarship application and two faculty reference letters are due no later than May 5. All students who meet eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. The scholarship is awarded in early June.
Mile Branch Easter Egg Hunt
KNOX TOWNSHIP — Mile Branch Grange is sponsoring its ninth Allergy Free Easter Egg Hunt Saturday beginning promptly at 10:30 a.m. at 495 Knox School Road, Alliance.
Mile Branch Grange members are hosting this event to provide a safe environment for children with food allergies or other health issues, who often miss traditional egg hunts to protect the child from possible reactions.
There will be three age groups for children 0-14. Children need to bring their own basket or bag. The Easter Bunny will be available for to take pictures with. There will be no candy or food at the event. Eggs will contain small toys, stickers, coins, etc. There will be special eggs for larger prizes. All children are welcome to attend. The event will be held rain or shine, under roof if necessary. Dress for the weather.
Any one who attends is encouraged to bring gently used books to help restock the Little Free Library located next to the grange building. Adult and children’s books are needed. Before and after the egg hunt, participants are encouraged to stop at the Little Free Library to pick up a book.

Lepper Library board seat
LISBON — The Lepper Library Association has a vacancy on the Lepper Library Board of Trustees. The vacancy of the trustee position will be filled by application of interested parties. An application form and questionnaire are available at the library. Applicants that are most qualified as potential seat holders may be scheduled with personal interviews with the current board members. NLPC Passion Week services
LISBON — The New Lisbon Presbyterian Church (NLPC), 111 E. Chestnut St., will host several services during Passion Week, led by Rev. Dr. Frank Lewis. All are open to the public.
Palm Sunday worship will be held March 29, beginning at a 10:30 a.m.
A Maundy Thursday service, April 2, will be held in the church social room, adjacent to the sanctuary, starting at 7 p.m. The service, The Fabric of Jesus’ Life, includes scripture and new ways to bring the words and action of Jesus to life in 2026, culminating in the Last Supper and the disciples’ final hours with Jesus in the Upper Room.
The Easter Sunday service, which includes Communion, begins at 10:30 a.m., April 5.
And on April 12, NLPC will host its second Bright Sunday worship service, also at 10:30 a.m., focusing on the joy experienced in the days following the resurrection.

BBB Lunch & Learn session
BOARDMAN – The Better Business Bureau (BBB) will host a Lunch & Learn session with 898 Marketing: Analytics for Small Businesses from noon to 1 p.m. April 8 at Garden Kettle, 8049 Market St., Boardman. Designed for non-technical business owners, this session will walk through practical ways to use Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity, along with a brief introduction to how AI tools can help interpret marketing data. BBB Accredited Businesses are invited to attend this Lunch and Learn and leave with a clearer understanding of how to measure marketing performance and make smarter marketing decisions. Rodman Library book sale
The Friends of Rodman Public Library will host a one-day mini book and bake sale on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the children’s program room of the Main Library. The sale, which is open to the public, will follow the annual membership meeting, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium. During that meeting an election of officers will be held. Genres available during the sale will include paperback and hardback fiction, assorted authors, children’s books, cookbooks, biographies, and gardening books. Some games and puzzles will also be available. The cost for both the book sale and the baked goods that will be available will be by donation.
