SALEM — The Brightside Project, 1909 N. Ellsworth Ave., will host its Bright Easter event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Designed for children ages 3-18, this special celebration aims to bring joy, hope, and connection to families across Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County.

Bright Easter will feature an environment filled with festive, holiday decorations, Easter baskets, and meaningful experiences for children in attendance. The event reflects The Brightside Project’s mission to remove barriers that prevent children from having a safe and healthy childhood while building the developmental assets they need to thrive.

“This event is about more than just Easter baskets,” said Lisa Vittorio, co-director of The Brightside Project. “It’s about creating joyful moments, showing every child they are loved and valued, and giving them space to grow and connect. Those experiences are what help build lasting resilience.”

Children who attend will each get to choose an Easter basket, meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy a cheerful, family-friendly atmosphere designed to make each child feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
