Negley monthly dinner night

Negley Masonic Lodge, 722 Meadow Lane, Columbiana, will host its monthly dinner night from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. This month will feature soup night with chili, chicken noodle, beef vegetable, stuffed pepper and more. Dine in is all you can eat and includes bread, dessert and beverage for $10, $5 for children 10 years and under. Carry out is $7 per quart. This month all proceeds will benefit Joe Gear who was involved in a motorcycle accident and is currently in the ICU. 

New exhibit at Mount Union

The University of Mount Union is hosting a new exhibit, featuring the Senior Culminating Experience projects of six UMU seniors. The exhibit will be available to view through May 9 in the Sally Otto Gallery. Student works include animatic, illustration, pencil, charcoal, mixed media and even tattoos. Local students with work featured in the exhibit include Shannon Bowman and Natalie Clemens, both of Alliance. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Trailblazing Skies and Shorlines Jamey Emmert, Avian Education Coordinator with ODNR’s Division of Wildlife, will present Trailblazing Skies and Shorelines: Ohio’s Birding Trails,  a behind-the-scenes look at Ohio’s birding trail program, Audubon Society/Mahoning Valley meeting April 28. Social time is at 6:30 p.m. with the program at 7 p.m. at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. This engaging program weaves together conservation and adventure, highlighting how the trails protect wildlife and support local communities, and showcases some of the state’s most remarkable, and sometimes overlooked, birding hotspots.
