SALEM – Following a 40-year career in payroll and administrative work at Buckeye Industrial Mining, Naomi Seely joined SRMC’s volunteer team as a way to stay active during retirement and give back to the community. For the past 15 years, she has volunteered two days a week in the hospital’s Employee Health and Materials Management departments.
“Naomi truly represents what it means to be a volunteer, and her willingness to share her time and talents with the hospital has made a lasting impact on our patients and staff,” said Amy Reed, SRMC Director of Development. “We are incredibly grateful for the many years she has devoted to supporting SRMC and our mission.”
Seely has been married to her husband, Norm, since 1969. They have two adult children and four grandchildren.
When she isn’t at the hospital, Seely is known for her “green thumb” and spends much of her time tending to her flowers. She also enjoys hosting “Grammie’s” Sunday dinners for her grandchildren and spending time with her new kitten, Katie.
