Lisbon Day of Prayer
The Lisbon Ministerial Association will observe National Day of Prayer at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the flag pole in front of David Anderson Jr./Sr. High School, 260 W. Pine St. The L.M.A. will be joining the Future Christian Athletes, led by Pastor Matthew Phillips of the Lisbon Baptist Temple. Cookies and orange juice will be provided.
Lepper book sale
Lepper Library in Lisbon will host its Spring Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To find the sale, enter the parking lot from the East Lincoln Way entrance and the sale entrance is in the garage off Vine St. A wide selection of adult, teen, and children’s books, audios, and movies will be available. The prices are hardbacks 50 cents, paperbacks 25 cents, audios and DVDs $1, all children’s books 25 cents and magazines are free with any purchase.
Community read
On The Same Page: A One Community Read starts Friday. Join the Lepper Library in Lisbon along with other libraries for a Community Reading Event. Enjoy an author’s visit, book signing, reading discussions and a closing gala. This program aims to unite individuals through a shared reading experience. The book title will be revealed on Friday. Call the library to register.
MCCTC open house
MCCTC Adult Career Center located on Palmyra Rd. in Canfield will host an enrollment open house at 6 p.m. Thursday to celebrate “In Demand Jobs Week.” Campus tours will take place anytime throughout the event. Prospective students can meet with student services and find out more about potential funding sources to help pay for education. The school will be open and the public is invited to explore career training programs that begin Fall 2026 including: Hannah Mullins Practical Nursing, Welding, Automotive Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Office Specialist, Veterinary Assistant, EMT or Firefighter I and II.
