Upcoming ODOT work in Columbiana County

Starting June 1, Ohio Department of Transportation crews will be performing bridge deck repairs on the bridge carrying Goshen Road over U.S. Route 62T. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers and temporary traffic signals. The completion date for this work is June 12.

Starting June 1, state Route 39 will close from state Route 524 in Mechanicstown to the Carroll/Columbiana County line located west of Salineville for a major pavement rehabilitation project. Prior to June 1, traffic is maintained with flaggers. Traffic will detour via state Route 524 south to state Route 164 north, state Route 164 north back to state Route 39, and reverse. The overall completion date is Sept. 30.

Work will begin June 15 on a project to replace a culvert that is located on state Route 644 south of Kensington. During construction, traffic will be maintained via temporary traffic signals and a 10-foot width restriction. The completion date is Sept. 30.

OSU Extension brings “Ask a Master Gardener” sessions to Lisbon’s Lepper Library

This summer, the Columbiana County Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will hold three “Ask a Master Gardener” sessions at the Lepper Library, 303 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon. Bring a plant, pest, or soil samples – or simply questions – and gain practical, research-based insight from our Master Gardener Volunteers. Sessions include 9 a.m. to noon June 23, 9 a.m. to noon July 21 and noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 18. For information, contact the Columbiana County OSU Extension Office at 330-967-7249.
