Ben Weber

Ben Weber, a 2026 graduate from Lisbon DAHS and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, has been making waves in both the career and technical education field and in the IT and cybersecurity space.

Weber joined the Computer Networking and Cybersecurity program from MCCTC in Fall of 2024 and quickly became one of the top in his class, gaining a solid IT foundation with skills such as computer networking, device configuration, and basic certifications such as the CompTIA A+.

He competed in the BPA State Level Competition for Network Design Team and didn’t advance to nationals in his junior year. He started off his senior year strong though, and by the time he finished school he had the “trifecta” of IT certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, and had won the BPA State Championship in Server Administration with Microsoft.

Weber continued to the National Leadership Conference, where he placed seventh in the nation for that same competition.

Now, Weber plans on going to Youngstown State University for Electrical Engineering Technology and continuing his business, Weber Technologies, that provides IT support and cybersecurity services to local businesses and governments in the area.
