Mason Prolongo, center, recently completed his Eagle Scout project with other members of Boy Scout Troop 101 of Alliance by refreshing the flag pole and clock tower in Beloit. The project included sanding down and repainting the flag pole, and installing a new rope and flag. Volunteers also took down the clock tower; sanded down, painted and installed two new clocks; and added solar lighting to illuminate the flag. The Beloit Ruritans sponsored the project. Mike Christy provided the cherry picker and guidance. Roger Greenwalt also donated to the project. George D. Worth American Legion Post 574 donated the flag. (Submitted photos)
