MINERVA – Minerva’s 103rd annual Homecoming will be Wednesday through Saturday, June 10 to 13, in Municipal Park.

The event will kick off with the Homecoming parade Wednesday, June 10, 6 p.m. Lineup is at Minerva Middle School, and the route is south on Bonnieview, west on Line Street, north on Market, east on Lincoln Way, and ending at Minerva High School.

Registration forms are available at the Minerva Fire Department, 505 E. Lincoln Way, Minerva, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., through June 9. On June 10, registration will be available at the fire department 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, call 330-868-5193.

The midway will be open 6 to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, and 4 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, with fair food and rides provided by Kissel Amusement Company. Wristbands cost $20, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and $15 on Thursday. Wristbands can be purchased for $13 on Saturday, 4 to 6 p.m., and are good all night. Single tickets are $2; 10 tickets are $20; and 20 tickets are $30.

The Lionburger stand will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Minerva Athletic Boosters will offer a beer garden on the stage side of the creek, and the 330 Popcorn Company, Kona Ice, and Pretty In Fizz will be set up throughout the four days. There will also be a different food truck in the beer garden every night. Wednesday will be Yummy Pita; Thursday, Here To Serve Bar-B-Que; Friday, JD’s Gourmet Hotdogs; and Saturday, Mean Bean BBQ.

Entertainment during the Homecoming will include live music on the stage every night. My Friend Tom will play 7:30 to 10 p.m. following the parade. On June 11, Krackpots Comedy Club presents Jake Hovis at 6:30 p.m. opening for Kindred Roots at 7 p.m. New Wave Nation takes the stage Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 13, will feature Against the Wind – Bob Seger Tribute band at 7:30 p.m.

Other entertainment will include a classic car cruise-in on Thursday, June 11, 6 to 9 p.m. A Power Wheel Demolition Derby on Friday, June 12, 6 p.m. On Saturday, activities will begin with a cornhole tournament at 6 p.m., a Lion Burger eating contest at 7 p.m., the Roxy Theatre Duck Race at 7:30 p.m., and Absolute Intense Wrestling returns, 6 to 8 p.m.

This year’s Homecoming vendor setup will look a little different than in years past. Vendors will now be located in the beer garden area of the park, opposite the midway side of the festival grounds.
