SEBRING — Melinda Wilms’ Sebring students rolled out a brand-new project this spring: The Trojan Coffee Cart. During their Success and Wellness class, Noah Mudrick (seventh grade), Sasha Mosley (11th grade) and Stormy Kelly (seventh grade) launched a coffee service for staff members.

Students gather orders and perform the functions of real baristas, delivering coffee to staff daily. The Trojan Coffee Cart allows students to build real-life skills while earning their “Ohio Means Jobs” seals.

The operation is a success as Wilms’ class gains valuable experiences in customer relations, inventory ordering, supply management, budgeting, serving, delivering, and logistical organization.

Each student has an assigned role and performs their function daily for the business. Roles include greeter and cashier, barista, and scheduling and delivery. Students even developed a customer loyalty program to increase business. The Trojan Coffee Cart will run until the end of May.

Starting at $2.99/week.
