United High School Prom Queen and King crowned on April 25

HANOVERTON -- United Local High School held its Junior/Senior Prom on Saturday, April 25. The event, themed "Enchanted Forest," was sponsored by the junior class under the direction of prom advisor Valerie Kidder.
The evening began with the Parade of Fashions, held at the high school and led by Master of Ceremonies Brynn Medure. During the ceremony, the 2025 Prom King and Queen, Daniel Readshaw and Olivia Ashburn, announced the newly crowned 2026 royalty. Megan Short, daughter of Aaron and Lindsay Short, was named Prom Queen, and M'Kyan Haynes, son of Christopher and Alison Haynes, was named Prom King.
Following the parade, students attended dinner and dancing at The Mane Barn at Nickajack. The evening concluded with After-Prom activities at Kalahari.
