Banquet of Lisbon
DW Dickey will sponsor the Banquet of Lisbon from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church. The menu will include rotisserie chicken, parsley potatoes, smoked baked beans, applesauce, Baker’s Dairy ice cream and beverages. Take outs after 6 p.m. if available. All are welcome. Free to the public.
Salem Chamber After Hours
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will host Business After Hours at Home Instead, celebrating one year in Salem, from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Courtyard Square, 657 E. State St., Salem. The event will include raffle prizes, refreshments, healthcare and senior resources, and free ice cream from Totally 80s Ice Ice Cream Shoppe. Also learn about Home Instead’s new care+ device and program.
Salem Chamber Golf Scramble
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 2026 Golf Scramble Friday, July 31 at Salem Hills Golf Club & Country Club, 12688 S. Salem Warren Road. Registration is at 8 a.m., with a shot gun start at 9 a.m. The event includes 18 holes and cart, breakfast and lunch, three free drink tickets, proximity contests and prizes, business card drawing, and basket raffle. Peniel Holiness Camp Meeting
Peniel Holiness Camp Meeting, Route 18, Conneautville, Pa., beings Thursday, July 16, with a concert at 7:30 p.m., introducing Jonathan White. Camp continues until Sunday, July 26, with services at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There will be a concert series Sunday, July 19, and Monday, July 20, at 7 p.m. followed by a service at 7:30 p.m.
The evangelists are Rev. Gary Bond with the Church of Nazarene and Dr. Matt Friedman, chairman of evangelism and discipleship at Wesley Biblical Seminary. Song evangelists are Vance and Jeannie Sharp July 17 through 21 and Don and Shirl Gessner July 22 through 26.
Youth evangelist will be Rev. Adam Godbold, associate pastor of Due West Methodist Church of Marietta, Ga. Teens are invited to stay at camp for 10 days for $125 if pre-registering by Friday, July 10. Register day of camp $150. First time teens will be able to come free this year. Larry and Leslie Tackett will be ministering to the children each day at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Services for adults will be in the Main Tabernacle.
