“The Most Feared and Powerful Polka Band in the Industry,” The Chardon Polka Band will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at Waterworth Memorial Park in Salem. Known for their eccentric style, audience participation and polka-rock covers of songs, this band puts a new twist on polka. Admission is free. Smokey’s Patty Wagon will be serving American classics, and Totally 80’s Ice Cream Shoppe will be serving delicious desserts. Tickets will be sold for 50/50 drawings and for prizes donated by local businesses and by friends of the concert series. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Parking is available at the park’s Sunset Boulevard entrance, or the Superior Avenue entrance, with limited handicap accessible parking.
