The Barnyard Buddies 4-H Club had two exciting meetings during May and June that provided members a chance to learn, explore and have lots of fun together.

In May, the club members visited Hillcrest Farms for a tour of the farm’s greenhouse. Members learned how the greenhouse operates, including the systems used to grow the food efficiently and sustainably.

Another highlight of the visit was learning about the farm’s agricultural drones. Members watched videos taken of the drones in action and discovered how drones are used in fields to help improve farm management.

The June meeting was held at Big Arb’s Campground. Members got to enjoy pizza provided by the club while managing their monthly meeting. After the meeting, members had the chance to cool off and have fun at the campground’s swimming pool.

These exciting meetings gave the Barnyard Buddies the opportunity to connect with one another, learn new skills and explore potential career interests in agriculture.
