Salem Community Foundation to sponsor Banquet in Salem

The Dine in or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building, sponsored by the Salem Community Foundation. The menu will include fried chicken, diced potatoes with onions and peppers, corn, coleslaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Dine in will park in designated area behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. Salem tax budget public hearing set

A Salem tax budget public hearing will be held Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. prior to the city council meeting in the Salem council chambers. The proposed tax budget is for fiscal year 2027. The proposed budget may be examined at the Auditor’s office, second floor in City Hall, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
