MINERVA – New Song, Geneva College’s music and drama ministry group, will offer a free performance on Monday, July 6, at 7 p.m. on Minerva’s Municipal Park stage.
In New Song’s concert, the timeless words of the gospel are conveyed in a contemporary and dynamic way through music and drama. For 49 years, New Song has traveled widely across the United States and Canada and twice to mainland China.
Nine students are chosen in January for the group that begins its service in the summer following. Students are chosen because of their musical and dramatic abilities and because of the way they can articulate and convey their faith.
New Song is directed by Lindsay Shaffer, Minerva High School and Geneva College alumna.
Municipal Park is located adjacent to the Minerva High School parking lot.
