YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Playhouse has announced auditions for the first youth production of the upcoming 102nd Season – The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon! (one-act) by Don Zolidis.
Auditions will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13th and from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 in the Moyer Room of The Youngstown Playhouse (600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown). Callbacks will be held if necessary by invitation only on Monday, Aug. 17 starting at 6 p.m.
Director Shiloh Hart is seeking a cast of as many as 20 8-18 year olds for this Youth Production. Interested performers should be confident readers and excited to collaborate and create with other performers. Auditionees should either prepare their own one-three minute comedic monologue or choose one of the prepared monologues found at youngstownplayhouse.org/audition. These monologues should be memorized. Auditionees will audition one at a time.

There is no fee required for participation in Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre productions. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. Rehearsals will be held Monday-Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. The full company will not be called at all rehearsals. Performances will take place Oct. 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 4 at 2:30 p.m. on the Main Stage of The Youngstown Playhouse (600 Playhouse Lane Youngstown).
