TEDxColumbiana 2026 will push 'Beyond Boundaries' at the Columbiana Arts Theater
COLUMBIANA -- An intimate theater in a small Northeast Ohio town will become a stage for ideas with the power to travel far beyond city limits when TEDxColumbiana returns Saturday, Aug. 22. The independently organized event begins at 1 p.m. at the Columbiana Arts Theater, 5 N. Main St., in downtown Columbiana.
Built around the theme "Beyond Boundaries," TEDxColumbiana will gather thinkers, entrepreneurs, educators, artists and changemakers for an afternoon of carefully prepared talks and meaningful conversation. The program is designed to challenge assumptions, spark curiosity, and show what can happen when local insight meets a global platform.
For students and young creators, the event offers a chance to see that world-changing ideas do not belong only to distant institutions or famous names. They can begin in a classroom, a studio, a field, a neighborhood--or right here in Columbiana.

The Columbiana Arts Theater to host "Creativity, Voice & Human Connection" with Drew Lawrence
COLUMBIANA -- The Columbiana Arts Theater, 5 N. Main St., invites participants to rediscover their voices, unlock their creativity and communicate with greater confidence during "Creativity, Voice & Human Connection: An Interactive Day with Drew Lawrence" on Friday, Aug. 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The immersive experience will be led by multi-platinum songwriter and vocal coach Drew Lawrence, co-writer of Christina Perri's hit song "Jar of Hearts." Through storytelling, music, guided writing and interactive exercises, Lawrence will help participants explore new ways to express themselves and connect more deeply with others.
Special guest Greg Smith will provide live vocal coaching throughout the day, helping participants strengthen and develop their authentic speaking voices in real time.
The program will include interactive vocal warm-ups, guided writing exercises, confidence-building activities and story-to-song sessions in which real participant stories are transformed into original songs live on stage.
