Nights on North Market in Minerva

MINERVA -- Nights on North Market, on Friday, Sept. 11, will bring live music, art, food and drink, kids' activities, and much more to downtown Minerva.

The Market Street Art Spot will host a reception, 5-9 p.m., featuring "Back to the Books," a group show, live music by Improvocation - The Pete Dell Trio, and light refreshments.

West High Street, between North Market and Main streets, will be the site of a popup pocket park for the evening, and all of North Market Street will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Grandma's Favorite Grandson, playing alternative rock and punk, will perform 6-9 p.m., and there will be a bounce house, games, crafters, vendors, local organizations, and more.

Vintage Home and Market Street Mercantile will be open late, and the Minerva Area Historical Society's Haas Museum will be open 6-8 p.m.

The Clever Cookie & Creamery, The Komfort Zone, and Walker's Cafe will be open late. Judy & Adam's Concessions, Pretty in Fizz, and Smitty's Brain Freeze will be downtown.

The village's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will be in effect 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and DORA beverages may be purchased at Sandy Springs Brewing Company, Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant, Tipsy Teller Urban Winery, Stoney Inn, and the Normandy Inn and carried throughout the downtown area.
