COLUMBIANA - The Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau (CATB) will host its inaugural
BBQ Swine Fest from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Vineyards at Pine Lake, 14101 Market St.
What started as an April Fool's joke to promote the Columbiana Wine Fest has taken on a life of its own and is now becoming a real event, bringing together professional and amateur BBQ cooks, live music, football, drinks, raffles, celebrity judges and plenty of great food.
Pre-sale tickets are $25, with only 300 available at https://tourcolumbianaohio.org/columbiana-swine-festival/.
Admission includes eight tasting tickets for samples from both professional and amateur BBQ competitors.
Professional competitors include Smoke Worx, Three Little Pigs, Kip's Tacos, La Cucina Scacchetti and Holy Smoke BBQ. Amateur competitors will also be competing for bragging rights.
The Reckoning will perform live beginning at 1 p.m.
The Vineyards at Pine Lake will offer its award-winning beverages at the cash and credit bar.
An NFL game will be shown on the big screen, and attendees will have a chance to win a raffle for the TV.
Guests will also have a chance to win a high-end spirits raffle.
Celebrity judges will be on hand to help determine the BBQ winners.
