DAHS 60th reunion

East Palestine Eagles drive thru soup sale

East Palestine Eagles is having a drive thru soup sale on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 4 pm. Soups still available include chicken noodle, beef barley, ham/cabbage & potato, chili, Italian Tortellini, stuffed pepper and vegetable beef. Cost is $8 per quart. Bunker Hill U.M.C. Chicken & Biscuit Dinner

Bunker Hill U.M.C, 15096 W. Middletown Road, Beloit, will hold a chicken and biscuit drive thru dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17. The dinner will include homemade chicken and gravy with homemade biscuits, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, coleslaw or applesauce and cake for $12 adults and $6 for children ages 4 to 12. Carry-out only until sold out.

Celebrating Seniors Luncheon in Columbiana

First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., Columbiana, will host a free senior catered luncheon featuring a taco bar from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. A free-will offering basket will be available. After the lunch there will be a "2026 Medicare Update" worked around a game. Make reservation with Judy by Sept. 22.

East Palestine Library Hosts Program on the History of Motorcycle Hill Climbs

The East Palestine Memorial Public Library, 309 N. Market St.,, will host the program Motorcycle Hill Climbs in the Valley at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15. Beginning in 1948, Professional Hill Climbs were held at Big Valley Raceway, located one mile south of East Palestine. Learn about the history of this popular event from Larry "Rabbit" Smith and members of the Pirate Motorcycle Club. For information, contact the library at 330-426-3778.

Free Idabelle Firestone Concerts Continue at Firestone Park

The free Idabelle Firestone Fall Concert Series will continue on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Idabelle Firestone Gathering Place and Garden at Firestone Park in Columbiana with a performance by the Suburban Brass Quintet. Rain venue, Grace Church, 140 S. Main St. Back by popular demand, this all-brass instrumental ensemble will entertain with patriotic music as well as many popular tunes. Parking is free, as well, at the main park entrance, 338 E. Park Ave., where shuttles will take visitors to the outdoor hilltop amphitheater to the covered lawn seating.
