Salem Community Center Bob Evans fundraiser
The Salem Community Center will hold a fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Bob Evans in Salem in which 15% of sales will go to the Children's Fitness Center at the SCC. Flyers can be picked up at The SCC. Call 330-332-5885 for more details.

New Garden Methodist Church, 7165 state Route 9, Hanoverton, will host its Rummage Sale Carryover from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All items will be marked as donation.
Smucker House Craft & Vendor Show
The Smucker House, 271 S. Broadway Ave., Salem, will host its Fall Craft & Vendor Show from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Indoor and outdoor booths will feature local creations including baked goods, crochet items, Scentsy, 3-D prints, Sublimation, charms, homemade dog treats, wreaths, wood pumpkins, porch signs, handmade jewelry and more. Concessions will be available featuring fresh popcorn and cold drinks.
Salem Community Center Free Senior Health Fair
The Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave., will host a Free Senior Health Fair from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday. The event will feature vendors, light refreshments and raffles/giveaways. The event is free to all seniors and no registration is needed.
Taste of Colonial America in East Liverpool
The Upper Ohio Valley Museum and Learning Center and the Museum of Ceramics will take part in the Ohio Open Doors Program from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. The theme is Taste of Colonial America with different food items from that time period available for sampling. Admission is free.
Small Farm and Homesteading Workshop
OSU Extension and Columbiana SWCD are collaborating on a small farm and land management field night at 5 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds, Arts and Crafts Building, 225 Lee Ave., Lisbon. Topics will include Land Management and Conservation, Soil Health, Farm Management, Planning and Strategic Decision Making, Marketing your Products and Food Preservation. Road closings, detours in Leslie Run area of East Palestine
As early as Tuesday, Sept. 22, the bridge and surrounding area of Brookdale, Park Avenue, West Main Street, and state Route 558 (Bacon Avenue) in East Palestine will be closed or have detour signs posted to allow for waterline and bridge replacement work on a county bridge (small bridge over Leslie Run). Detour routes will be announced once construction is underway. During this time, drivers are asked to use caution and be mindful of crews working in the area. Note that the Brookdale Avenue/Bacon Avenue bridge will remain closed for an extended duration as part of this project.
