SALEM -- The parks department and Salem Public Library are inviting the public to join them for the debut of a new book at the Storybook Trail.
The Storybook Trail, located at Waterworth Memorial Park, will debut its next family friendly story today with Mo Willems' "The Pigeon Needs a Bath," featuring a special visit from the Pigeon himself from 1 to 4 p.m. The pages of the picture book will be posted at stations through the stroller friendly trail for the whole family to enjoy and once they have finished the book they can meet and take a photo with the star character.
The parks department is asking attendees to bring their own insect repellent to ensure the best experience.
